Where is your Best Auto Repair Shop??

It would be helpful to know if any of the repair shops were located in my city or state or even a route i sometimes take. Otherwise, not sure i need to download the file if the closest one is a thousand miles away. Can a list of current repair sites be included in the updates? Thank you.

Download and use the tool provided by fellow Factory-user RetiredTechnician. With it, you can select locations within a particular state from a file, and save them.

Sorry i can't contribute, a little some thing called conflict of interest is getting in the way.
What i would like to see are facilities that are registered with the various states and if possible the facility registration number. don't know if this matters to anyone else.

That is a Great Idea to start and also what i have done in the past was if the car broke down and you know whats wrong but can not fix it I Had it towed to the nearest Dealer Ship That way they can't rip you off fars as service stations ETC.

Recommended by a friend who lives blocks from the place.

I personally take my cars to a Honda dealership (Arrowhead Honda) because the general manager and I went to the same high school and I know the service manager and they have taken very good care of me (guess it helps to have a connection).

I do know of one auto shop in NY that I can recommend. I haven't personally taken my car there, but my wife knows his wife since high school and was a bridesmaid at their wedding. His wife is also a godmother to my son and the sponser for my daughters' confirmations (she flew into Phoenix just to attend the confirmation). They're also an 'adopted' uncle and aunt to my kids. They are very honest and are well known/liked in the area. His customers bring their cars in from distance when there are many auto shops closer because of his work and ethics. I can personally vouch for them. I've also called Ric on several occasion on advises for purchases and repairs.

He's a straight shooter. No bullS***, just the bottom line.

My favorite mechanic is Joe Wotypka and his shop "Euro Car" in West Grove, PA. That's in southern Chester County. He specializes in VW but also is good with Volvos, Saabs, Jaguars, and BMWs.

Without a doubt, Scanwest Autosport is the premiere independent repair shop in the Seattle area. Rated as one of the top independent shops in Seattle, they specialize in Saab (and have recently started with Subaru) repair. It's the kind of place where you can take your car in knowing that they will fix the problem right, the first time, with no upselling or other shady BS. I've been taking my cars there for over 10 years. Only two 2 people work on my car: me, and Scanwest. They are about 1 mile east of I-5 just north of downtown Seattle. If you drive down Greenwood Avenue and get near the shop - just look for all of the Saabs parked nearby
