Single or Mass POI Download

I am attempting to learn this system!!! If I have 30 favorite POI files, is it best to load them all at once or one at a time to my Garmin 1490LMT? If one has a data format error (AAA Office Locations)on line 29 will that stop or affect the loading process. What are the pros and cons of performing a mass download vs single downloads?

Using poiloader you will need to load them all at one time.Unless you plan to use re-name method.Files not updated that much are good candidates for re-naming method.I prefer to use gpx files for certain poi files that I want alerts for and build the alert distance in.That way I can run poiloader in express mode.But everyone has their own method of preference.
If error found in file with poiloader it will reject it and you will get message to continue or stop.

GPX Files
Where do I find GPX POI files and is there a specific way to get them loaded onto the GPS?

They load the same way as csv files with poiloader.Gpx files are on site for some custom pois.A lot of use Extra Poi Editor that I refernce to on the links.Gpx lets you take advantage of dialable numbers if unit has bluetooth.EPE will let you convert a csv to a gpx.See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/6203
