Transferring trip from MS Streets & Trips to my Garmin 765T

I created a trip route in MS Streets & Trips & transferred it (or thought I did) to my Garmin 765T via USB cable. When I looked for the route in my Garmin I couldn't find it. I thought it would be in Custom Routes.

What am I doing wrong? How do I actually transfer my custom route to my Garmin?

Thanks.

Mike

Did you go to tools,my data

Did you go to tools,my data and select import routes?

.

What version of Streets and Trip?

Transferring Trip Data

In Streets & Trips, under Tools I don't have Import Routes. Under Tools I have Send Route to GPS Device. That's what I've been using & a new window opens which says Choose Delivery Method. I choose Send with USB & it detects my GPS device. I choose Send Locations Now, it says Transferring Data to Device, & finally it says Your Locations Were Successfully Sent.

Why does it say that it sent my locations instead of saying it sent my route?

Do I have to Export to a GPX file to get my route into my GPS.

Streets & Trips version

I can't find a version number on the DVD. I just bought it & it said it has the 2010 maps.

Yes you have to use Data - Export to a GPX file in Streets & Trips and save the file to the GPX folder on the Nuvi's internal storage drive (could direct it to an SD card but lets keep it simple for now).

Once the GPX file is on the Nuvi you can close S&T. Now using the Nuvi, tap Tools - My Data - Import Routes. Select the file you just transferred and it will be 'imported'. Now go to Where to - Routes and select the route that has just been 'imported'.

NOTE - Streets & Trips 2010 is the first and only version where you can transfer the GPX file to the Nuvi. If you have an earlier version you do not have this option.
