255 screen asking to move SD content to memory

I made a copy of my POIs on SD for a friend with a 255. His unit has a screen that comes up everytime he powers up his unit asking him if he wants the data copied to memory. My zumo had a checkbox to click that said "only ask this once" or something similiar. Can this screen be eliminated?

Also, anyone else ever see the internal sd card slot not line up with the outer cover hole? 1 sd card is really inside the 255 now and I don't mean where its supposed to be.

It depends on the garmin unit. I do not know the model numbers involved, but my 650 would allow me to put a check mark in the "do not ask again" box and my 1350 does not give that option.

I had an email string going with Garmin on that and there final answer was that they gave my "suggestion" to sales for an "enhancement". Go figure! I told them it was not an enhancement but that they devalued their product. That ended the email string.

1.When prompted do you want to transfer pois to gps? Select yes and go to next screen.
2.Put check mark in don't ask me again.
3.Select skip at bottom.
4.Reboot Gps unit.

That seems like a backwards way to keep them on the SD card, But if it works it solves the problem.
