No GPS cost me 100 bucks

Didn't have my GPS in the car the other day made a right turn on red... yes there was a sign saying no right on red (my fault) so I got my first red light cam ticket.

Lesson learned take your GPS and load your red light camera POI'S!!!!

Ouch.

You will be lucky if it costs only $100. I believe it is more than that. Hopefully I am wrong though.

probably wouldn't have helped

Having a warning on the GPS probably wouldn't have helped you as you stated there was a sign saying NO RIGHT ON RED you missed.

So you're essentially saying the early warning sounds and text warning beforehand would have been of no use at all?

Go To Court

At least go to court, tell the judge you came to a full stop and not seeing the no-turn sign, you made a safe turn.

Otherwise you're going to pay for running the red light... and that is pricey.

Let's not forget red light cams are out there to prevent scofflaws from killing us.

I agree with Flip. I find the warning very helpful in keeping you alert. Sorry to hear about the ticket Flip.

Can't believe it...

I got a speed camera ticket by mail for going just 67 mph when first merging onto a major freeway... for $189.50!!!

I see the Phoenix area is ranked #7 for most cameras in U.S. Anyone have any luck getting out of paying for what I consider a completely unreasonable citation? Thanks.

Even if you had come to a full and complete stop and then turned right after that stop you would have gotten the ticket because you missed the No Right on Red sign. In this particular case, the alert wouldn't have done any good because the infraction was based on the fact you turned rather than staying stopped until green.

Can't say for certain

It still probably would have made him more aware that "something" was askew with that intersection. I know an audible and visible alert prior to arriving sure would have made me do a double take with more scrutiny of said intersection, thereby heightening the probability that I would have seen that sign. If it doesn't work for you that way, well...

Ooohhhh ,Oooohhhh...

Ooohhhh ,Oooohhhh... another POI file. "No Turn On Red" intersectons. Why not?

OK.....so where the heck am I?

I thinks it's going to be a

I thinks it's going to be a lot more than $100. Especially since the camera company has to take it's share.

Bummer :(

At least $100 is relatively cheap. Cali tickets are around $400.

Is your insurance impacted as well?

In NYC

You throw it on the ground for parking. I saw Fed EX trucks getting parking tickets and they didn't even pick them up off the wiper or the the fender or where ever they placed them. Most of the time people turned on no left turns and when ever. Manhattan is a mess.
