Red Light Cameras in Spokane, Wa

Looks like Spokane will be adding itself to the list of cities with Red-Light cameras.

Thanks Ralphy1

Just send me an email when you see them turned on and I will add them.
I will be looking for city documentation regarding the Texas locations being removed and I will take those out of the file for next weeks update.

bogus alerts???

No not another city!

has anyone notice some bogus reports to the redlight camera? I've been driving at some locations and my unit would warn me of upcoming redlight cameras, but upon arrival there's nothing to be found. Is it just because the lights are planned to be installed? I believe it is possible that some people are mistaking the MIRT (Mobile Infrared Transmitter for Emergency Vehicles)with redlight cameras. Or it's just an honest mistake.

I'll try to note the locations so I can report the errors. I never seem to find a pen in my car when I need it...

In our city, the government

In our city, the government has a list of 24 locations, and I created a file for them not really paying attention to whether or not I've seen a camera there. I found out driving by my house that there was a camera on the list that wasn't up, but I believe that's because they haven't installed them yet. That might be the case here.

I am in the process of doing a major cleaning of the file and have volunteers all over the place researching the locations in their area.
Just let me know which ones need to be removed please.

What I do with my Nuvi, when I see a need to correct a speedtrap is tap the map screen, and a SAVE option comes up. I save the location as a new favorite. Later, when reviewing my favorites, I'll see the new location and remember to update my POI file. Of course you have to remember that you saved the location to your favorites!
