265wt software update "fix"

You may have noticed my posts regarding my 265 going nuts in other posts over a couple of months. Since I was on the road and needed it, I didn't contact Garmin for an RMA. Was doing that when I was advised of an update. Device required rebooting 2 times after each incident was required to make it usable.

Garmins update for the 2X5 series has corrected all of its problems.

I updated 2 days ago and used it for any/all trips to/ from any store or wherever I went in my vehicles or with others. The device didn't do anything wrong.
It seems to track more of the sats than it did before
doesn't tell me "acquiring satelites", "Awaiting better accuracy" or the other notifications I was getting, Nor does it place me several streets away from where I actually am/was. The "recalculating" notice hasn't appeared except when it should. All of the same troubles I read here for the 2X5's from many others mine had also. This fix from Garmin really improved its navigation and stopped thoroughly annoying me by its inaccuracy and mis direction

Garmin seems to have got this right! NO abnormal or bad things noted from the update, Just a working and more reliable unit so far. In my opinion, if anyone is having troubles with there 2X5 series, this update seems to correct them fully.

Thought you might like to know of a successful software update that repaired a very faulty 265wt.
