How do I find the version of maps loaded on my nuvi 350? When the unit starts up I see Americas Lite Basemap 4.0 flash on the screen. Is this the version of the map and is this the latest version of the maps for North Americs?
Click the wrench, then click
Click the wrench, then click "Map" then click "Map Info". This will tell you what detailed maps are loaded. (Most likely City Navigator v8 which is the latest version.)
What you see when your unit starts up is the basemap. I don't think that the basemap is user upgradeable. You don't really need to worry about the basemap.

You can upgrade base map, but it's of no use for North America, since you have full coverage.
