This week has been yet

This week has been yet another week of fine Spring weather but, we actually got snow on the 31st of May. This is almost unheard of. Hope that's it and we settle into summer soon.
Am trying to find a wireless FM transmitter in my neck of the woods that I can hook the Nuvi up to so I can play my mp3's through the car or truck speaker system. Have a Belkin Tunebase model F8Z176 for the ipod so will give it a try and hope for the best. Will likely need a dual power adapter first though. Fun and Games.
Hope everybody at POI Factory has a GREAT week.

H1N1

My daughter's school has more than half the class of grade 6 that are sick at this time and one has been confirmed with H1N1. This makes us believe that the others could be infected. We are taking precaution at this time and keeping our daughter out of school until we receive more information. What would you do if it was at your children’s and the guide lines are that the school would not close until 10% of the school is infected?

I would probably send her.

I would probably send her. The current rumor is that the reason it is hitting the young ones is that a previous strain had already swept through the population around 30 years ago and that is why the middle aged folks are not at serious risk.

June sports

Baseball - fine. Soccer - fine. Golf - fine. etc. etc. fine. But Basketball & Hockey???? Maybe the seasons a bit long?
I'm expecting Football to start too soon also.

Although I do like hockey and will miss it when it's over, it's still too long. In the meantime --- Go Wings.

Good thing the weather's great so I can enjoy being out.

With all you mentioned above, Major League Baseball has the longest season and most grueling schedule, even though its not the toughest of the sports.
And baseball being either major or minor league are my personal favorites. Enjoying a summer afternoon or evening, putting down a few cold ones along with a couple hotdogs and a bag of peanuts all while getting caught up in the game. I do feel sorry for those that have to sit in a dome to watch a baseball game, however slowly they are becoming a thing of the past or at least have retractable roofs so the fans can be outside where the sport is meant to be played on real grass.

With that said.

Go Tribe!

I'm sorry to hear it.

We've had some H1N1 paranoia in the office, but so far, nothing confirmed.

On the lighter note, I've always thought H1N1 sounded like a Star Wars droid designation. Maybe R2D2's cousin.

I don't want to be picky, but I just need something to write here. Half a year is 6 months. We are still in the first six months until July 1. I'll let you know when that happens since it will give me something else to write about. smile
