New Member Here

Hello,

I thought that I would take a moment to say hello. I just picked up a Garmin Nuvi 700 series a few days back and have found this site to be a great source of information as well as some real nice POI files. The red light camera POI file is great!!! I was testing that out last night.

I look forward to contributing when I can,

Regards

welcome to all of the new folks

I am fairly new as well...been here a couple of months now...when these folks say feel free to ask questions, they aren't just saying that to be nice...they really mean it...the people here really enjoy sharing the knowledge that has made using their GPS unit more fun and more useful.

I have said it before, and I will say it again...this is the best forum site of any kind, I have ever found...the combination of site organization and management, and the quality of membership it has attracted and maintained, is unprecedented in my opinion.

As mentioned in a post above, I am also a big fan of poi-factory member Gary Hayman's site, http://home.comcast.net/~ghayman3/garmin.gps/

Gary's site has a different aim and different style than this site, and complements it very well...it is where I learned the basics, and gained the confidence to jump in here, and begin mining the unbelievable treasures you can find.
