Save a large Google Earth Search

I did a Google Earth search of businesses, that resulted in 300+ places. They were in folders as groups of 10. Is there an easy way to save ALL of the search results to a KML file?

Yes There Is Go To This Site and Download The KMLCSV Converter At http://kmlcsv.pbwiki.com/ And Also Download The Tutorial PDF File and it tells you exactly what to do with Google Earth and I did it and it works great

Here is what I have come up

Here is what I have come up with.
For example, I did a business search of "Waffle House" with a location of Denton, Texas. A folder appeared with 10 locations. I then dragged and dropped that folder to the empty Temporary Places folder in the Places section. I then opened the "Waffle house near Denton" folder and scrolled down to click on #2 choice. A box will open and ask to open or save this file. Click "OPEN". A folder with a new set of 10 locations will open below the first. Scroll down to the bottom of that one and click #3 and " OPEN". As you repeat - - the results will include an ever widening area. When you are done with the search, scroll up to the Temporary Places folder - Right Click - and "Save Place As" a kml file. All of the search results will show up in that one file! smile

This is an example of the info I get for each line in the CSV file - -
-97.421173,32.809798,Waffle House: No 372,6250 Lake Worth Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76135
No phone # though. I am currently finding out the easiest way to format it so I will have the name AND address on the GO screen on my Garmin 255W.

OK Here is how you do it hope this helps you

when you find what you are looking for double click on it a box will pop up with all the info you need highlight it and click copy now go up in the tool bar and click on your icon for place marks a pin will go to your location and a box will pop up with the Long & Lat top of box name your location the click in the discription area and right click and paste your info then click ok and in your locations in the left pane you will see it a bottom of your locations click and then drag it to your folder you created below when you get as many as you want the right click on your folder you made and save place as and dont forget to set it for KLM Nothing to it Here is and example from one I made below

-95.737741,36.230222 Macsteel,5250 Bird Creek Ave,Catoosa,OK 74015,(918)266-1666

And that is what it looks like when converted to.csv using the KML Converter

PS Hope I explained this the easy way for you

GPS Babel

I use a free program called GPS Babel.
It takes the KLMor KLZ file, (I can't remember)
and converts it to a Garmin waypoint or a POI.(GPX)
http://www.gpsbabel.org/download.html
They ask for a $25 donation, however that is up to you.
