nuvi 760 traffic

Just a quick question

I bought my 760 about 5 months ago and didnt use the free 3 month traffic reciever yet. Is it good from the time I first use it or the time i registered my garmin?

Thnx,

Try it and find out

Why don't you just try it and find out if it still works. You can't harm anything if it doesn't work. Then you will get your answer.

It starts the first time you

It starts the first time you plug it in to the lighter socket.

Got bad news about your trial traffic subscription It's expired already, without you ever using it. The three month trial starts the very first time you acquire satellites after plugging in the cigarette lighter plug. So it's been over for two months and yes it's worth it, as long as you live in a covered city.

It is from the time it first accesses the FM traffic signal. So if you are in an area where the service is not provided, it will not start until you are in a service area.

please see my post - it is upon the unit's initial access of the FM Traffic signal.

This is NOT correct. The subscription starts the first time you RECEIVE A SIGNAL from a traffic info source. That's how mine worked. When I purchased a renewal it also didn't start until I had entered an area where I received a traffic signal.

In my area there aren't any traffic info signals. I have to go to the Sacramento area before I get any info. My subscription didn't begin until I did that.
