If one checks a route on Google Earth along the Trans Canada Hwy entering Manitoba from Ontario, it shows two restaurants right at the border. Smitty's Pancake House and a McDonald's.
Don't plan on eating there although there is a friendly Tourist info centre and truck scales at that location.
Because the restaurants do not have a proper street address the poor Google computer has no way of knowing that the Smitty's is at a large gas bar in Brandon, MB. about 250 mi further west and the McDonald's is just across the highway from the Smitty's. The computer places them on the correct "street" at the first opportunity.
This placement by the mapping program is very logical given the address that was provided and is the only example I could find along the Highway in Western Canada
