Downloading GPX File

I'm trying to download Garmin GPX files, but they never complete. Is there some trick to downloading that I'm missing? Or is the process just really slow? It's been 20 minutes and 430 KBs downloaded so far.

Is the issue downloading the gpx from a web site to a computer, or is it copying a GPX from a computer to a Garmin device? [Note that copying a GPX to a Garmin device does not install the GPX as a custom POI file. Use Garmin's POI Loader for all custom POIs, both csv and gpx.]
Is the GPX file from the POI Factory or somewhere else?
If it’s copying from a Garmin, that’s why it’s slow
Sometimes copying files to and from a garmin can be pretty slow. That could be the reason. Or if you’re not copying to or from a garmin, then I’m not sure.
