POI uploading sequence important.

I just bought the latest redlight camera POI file. I had some other stuff to put into my Garmin so the redlight file was not the last thing on my list. This morning I find my redlight camera proximity alarm didn't go off at a camera light that always worked with my old redlight camera file. Do I need to load the file last for it to work?

POI Loading

POIs are treated as a single file on the Nuvi. You need to put all of your POIs in one folder on your PC then upload them, using POI loader. If you try loading them separately, they will be overwritten each time you load one.

....or rename the file

or rename the file after it is loaded & before loading the next one.

POI loading

THAT, spullis, is a singularly important point.
Thank-you very, very much.

Be aware

Be aware that not all GPSrs' can be seen as Mass Storage Devices by your PC so therefore can't store separate .gpi files for Custom POIs. (I think I said that right)
Neither of my devices can be seen by my PC as Mass Storage Devices - only by POI Loader, WebUpdater, Mapsource and MS S & T.
