Nuvi 750: No bluetooth? Really?!

I recently bought the Nuvi 750 on eBay. On the list of features listed, it said it had bluetooth... Now that I have it in my hands the only mention of bluetooth I can find is in the trouble shooting, where it directs me to menu places that aren't there on my device. Is it just me/mine? CNET says it doesn't come with bluetooth... If it truely doesn't, I'm going to be bummed! Any help or definitive comments would be helpful smile
Thanks.

I believe that is the

I believe that is the difference between the 750 and the 760. I would get your money back from that seller if it was advertised as having Bluetooth.

Correct, No Bluetooth

Correct, there is definitely no bluetooth on the 750.

If you want bluetooth on the 7xx series you need to purchase a 760, 770, or 780.

Nope...

Sorry you are bummed, but 750 does not have Bluetooth.... AND - as several people here (and elsewhere) have said, "DON'T BUY GPS DEVICES OFF E-BAY"!

I've been buying & selling on eBay (PayPal, too) for 7 years. IMO, the site has gotten worst. Ebay Stores & Power Sellers have ruined it. In the past 6 months, my experiences have been so bad that I am seriously considering canceling both accounts. I've been dealing with buyer issues all week which is why I haven't been here much.

Earlier this year, I had to file a case with the small claims court up in Ocala against a seller who took my money, never shipped the item and was unregistered by eBay. The only thing that saved me was the fact that we both lived in FL so I could sue easily. I even reported him to IC3. Never heard a peep from them. Its bad! (Yes, I got my money back plus $140 in court costs with interest)

And it's always advisable to independently check the specifications of the units which you are considering purchasing. It's very easy to do this on Garmin's website. A quick glance at the 750's webpage would have provided the necessary information.

Careful on EBAY

This is off Garmin's site.

To obtain warranty service, an original or copy of the sales receipt from the original retailer is required. Online auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification, and Garmin will not replace missing components from any package purchased through an online auction. Garmin retains the exclusive right to either repair or replace the unit with a "newly-overhauled" (NOH) unit or new unit at its sole discretion. The same policy shall apply to software.

Costco has the 780 for $399 that has everything you would want including maps of Europe. I don't know how much you paid for the 750 but I personally would spend more from a good source like Costco in case there are any problems after you get it. To me ebay is not the place to be buying this type of item.

I agree. E-bay is fine for things that are non-electronic but for something like a computer, gps or any other related equipment, I stick with a known retailer with a proven track record. It's the support and warranty that are the deal breaker. Not going to get that from an E-bay seller.

Per Garmin website, the 770 had both Europe and America, the 780 has just the North America.

Your exact reasons are why I do not purchase anything off of E-bay anymore.
