still have the 4250 after returning TT XL 330S

Here is my plan: I returned the TT to the store as I had only 14 days to evaluate it and be able to return it with no questions asked. However Costco, where I purchased the Magellan, allows one to return GPS units anytime within *1 year* of the purchase! I believe Magellan indicates that there will be map updates for the 4250 by September 2008. Okay how reliable do you think this date is?

In the time I could compare the two the very recent map updates to TT still had several omissions that were important to me that were part of the much older Navteq in the 4250

But with my very limited experiece with GPS the following features that exist on mid priced TT seem such good ideas:

- "Travel Via" (very easy short simple way to force a route to include an address or street)

- "Point A to Point B" where A doesnt need to be the current location

- the ability to contribute in almost real time to the accuracies of a map ie "Map Share"

Any thoughts?

A plan ??

Where's the plan?

Looks like you've already made your choice. The Magellan you have now will likely NEVER have the features you liked in the TT.

The TT, OTOH, might have corrected the map problems with it's next map update.

If there is a plan, I guess I don't understand it ??

Now a bit more clear?

You're right I wasnt clear. I guess I have kept the Magellan as the very recently updated NAmerican maps of the TT (version 720) still had addresses missing that were important to me but were easily found in the much older Navteq maps on the Magellan. And even more recent Navteq maps are supposedly to be released by Magellan in September 2008.

I guess if this doesnt happen and TT releases another update I could still return the Magellan and make the switch back to TT.
