Problem with csv files

Some of the custom csv files that I uploaded to my nuvi 780 don't show all the data - only the place name, the mileage, and the direction.

Yet when I look at the csv file with Excel or Notepad, the fourth column often includes street, town and phone number. Why isn't this additional data showing up on my nuvi screen when I invoke that custom POI?

Two examples of this include the csv files I have for Sam's Club and Ace Hardware (both of which I think I downloaded from POI factory but not certain).

Thanks in advance for any help.....

R U Opening POI file all the way on your GPSr ????? The data you see in Column 4 of Excel does not show up when you just look at first info line. You must open up the individual POI further, when you see the line with place name, mileage, direction press on that line and it should open up and give you the additional info !

That was my problem (duh!)

MrKen - That was exactly my problem. What was fooling me was that with some csv files the store name and town were showing up on the first info line, and with other csv files only the store name appeared on the first line.

Upon further investigation, I found that some POI files have town as part of the 3rd column, while others do not. I like it when the town name appears on the first info line so that I can differentiate the places and choose which town I want to select.

Thanks for your help....

Town in 3rd col.

I agree, not everyone does their POI's the same. I put the town in the 3rd col just for the same reason you like it. It's much easier for me to see it that way, and yes you have to go to the next page to see everything.
