How to set Routing options on Nuvi Vs Magellan

I was reading a discussion about the various routing options the Magellan has, compared to the Garmin Nuvi. Although the Nuvi has the same (and more routing options) than the Magellan, setting the equivalent Magellan routing on the Nuvi is not very obvious. Here is how I compiled them.

Let me know if they need to be modified and will edit this post.

Magellan: Shortest time
Garmin: Fastest time with default avoidances enabled

Magellan: Shortest distance
Garmin: Shortest distance with default avoidances enabled

Magellan: Most use of freeways
Garmin: Fastest time with default avoidances enabled

Magellan: Least use of freeways
Garmin: Fastest time with highways avoided; or
Shortest distance with highways avoided

Magellan: Avoid toll roads
Garmin: Fastest time with toll roads avoided; or
Shortest distance with toll roads avoided

I notice from the above that the Garmin options are more powerful - for example for the Magellan "least use of freeways" on the Nuvi one can use shortest distance or fastest time while avoiding freeways.

Of course, the flip side is the number of key presses to achieve these results on the Nuvi. I'm tempted to print a cheat sheet on an address label and stick it on my dash.

I would also like to point

I would also like to point out that the Nuvi also has bicycle as a usage mode, which does an even better job in my opinion of keeping you away from freeways. It pointed out to me a path to get to work I didn't even know existed, and had only been driving there for six years. Who knew..

Not sure if the Magellan has bicycle mode.
