GPS position

when I am traveling with my GPS on, it wont show that I have crossed a street until I am about 2 seconds past it in real time. In other words, I will be well past the intersection when it shows on the GPS that I am crossing it. Is there anything I can do to help this? Should I be concerned, or is it pretty normal? Thanks for the help.

It's the nature of the beast...maybe zoom out the map one or two levels so it won't be so obvious.

Processing speed

Your GPS most likely has a refresh rate of 1 screen per second, so the lag you see will be related to your speed. At 30 mph you move 44 feet per second. So by the time the unit shows your location, you are already 44 feet past there. Faster speeds will show a larger error. The visual error is magnified by zooming in closer too. You will have to learn to slightly anticipate your GPS unless you are moving very slowly.

bottom

I'm using a silver triangle as vehicle icon and the real location is at the very bottom of the triangle... not the tip, nor the middle.
Couple months ago somebody had posted a custom-made triangle's file with the location being on the tip.
