I had a problem with the plub on my new 7200 Garmin unit that required a new screw and Garmin sent an entire new mouting device with all the wires attached. A spare would have cost me $50 but they sent me a new one (when all I needed was a tiny screw) for free and told me I could keep the old one.

That doesn't surprise me. I bought one a year ago and had problems with pieces of the suction cup sticking to the windshield after it was removed. The first time I called they sent me the whole mount, no charge. The second one had the same problem and they sent me another mount along with the car charging wire, again no charge. This one has been fine. Why they don't design the mount with a replaceable suction cup is beyond me, but the customer service is excellent. Because of the excellent customer service, I am directly responsible for the purchase of 4 Garmins for this Christmas season. So I guess there is a method to their madness!
