Nuvi finally arrived

My Nuvi 200 finally arrived today. I downloaded the latest firmware, loaded it with my waypoints (now Favorites)from Mapsource, and took it for a spin. I was very impressed with how quickly it acquired satellites, as compared to my handheld Etrex Venture CX. I was also impressed with how quickly it recalculated a route, after I intentionally made wrong turns, and then took a street that didn't exist when the maps were put together, just to give it a good test. The bigger screen, and voice prompts, also are welcome improvements over the Venture CX. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase, even if I didn't get it at the $169.99 price Amazon currently has. And thanks to all the people who post information on this incredible site, I already pretty much knew how to set it up, transfer waypoints, etc. Thank you!

Newest to oldest... Nüvi 660, Street Pilot 2720, Magellan SporTrak Pro, Lowrance Global Map 100

The Nuvi's are great. You do

The Nuvi's are great. You do not have to have the wife telling you to stop and get directions.

In my case, it's more "Why

In my case, it's more "Why are you going this way? I always go the other way." Now I can tell her, 'The voices told me to go this way!'

Which is probably safer than my normal comeback: "When I stop the car, and turn off the engine, look out the window. If we aren't where we're supposed to be, THEN you can criticize my driving."

And you probably got there

And you probably got there quicker.
