speed trap

I have few questions:
1. Do we have a way to get the road speed using mapsource? if not is there a way I could find out the current speed limit of a road without going to the actual road?
2. I recently create a speed trap but I would like to add speed notification also. Currently the file is in GPX format. Is this possible?
no, maybe, yes
1a. no way to get speed data from mapsource.
1b. perhaps the state DOT could provide speed limit data
2. when loading the poi file, of course using poi loader, select the manual mode and set prox/speed data. You could also have the speed limit number in the file name. Here is a good visual/instruction aid.
