Regional worship files

Last one for tonight -- Churches and other places of worship can now be downloaded by region. The full USA file is still available, but now you have the option to download just a region.

Next, I plan to split Lakes and Cemeteries.

Data Source?

Hi,

Where does POI Factory get this data? I would like to compile a file of Catholic Churches.

Miss Poi

Worship File

Thanks! Is there a utility or technique that can be used to filter the file by keywords? The file has too many records for Excel.

On a side note, is there a way to make POI Verifier delete duplicates rather than just report them?

No, not automatically

No. The reason for this is duplicates can be in many forms. Presently it checks for duplicates based on both longitude and latitude being within the inputted 'variance'. Sometimes duplicates have the exact coordinates, sometimes not. In addition, entries with the same coordinates may not be duplicates (two businesses within the same variances). So, you see removing entries automatically could really screw up a POI file.

The line number and coordinates of the 'possible duplicates' are displayed. Just use Excel or something similar to find the line of a duplicate and delete it. You can also do a search for the coordinates in Notepad and delete one.

Thanks.

Example of acceptable duplicates

In the radio station files, for example, sometimes several stations share the same tower, therefore they would have the same long and lat but have different content.
