New Garmin User , help needed.

Hello,

Good to be in on this website, after long i found a good source to learn more about the c330 garmin i just recently purchased. I would appericate if one could assist me on how incorporate more useful features on my Garmin, for instance, POI's or red light alerts etc. Upon some research i came to know that i had to have POILoader which enables one uploading POI's etc on the Garmin Device. But from that point forward i don't have much clue, firstly i cant possibly find my device in POiLoader i hit Find Device it takes me to H prompt of my computer. Help would be greatly apperciated.

is there any space

is there any space limitation uploading POI's on the unit? and another question is there any other source where i can upload to my device, where that would alert or indicate the "speed limit" on highways etc, for instance, if im surpassing the "speed limit" i would be alerted on the device saying im going too fast or that whats the optimum speed limit on certain highways.

There is a space limitation...unfortunately your c330 isn't recognizable as a mass storage device on your computer. Therefore you can't check the properties to see how much space is used/free, like you could with a hard drive for instance.

The good news is that poi for the most part take up very little space.

When/if you run out of physical space, the garmin poi loader will let you know as you're loading the poi.

As far as speed limits, if you are asking if there is something you can download/upload to your device that will know the speed limits of each road? Then alert you if you exceed that speed? No, not on the garmin (as of yet or that I know of).

You can create a poi for a certain portion of a road with a speed limit alert. If it were a long portion of road...such as an interstate highway you could place these speed alert poi's periodically along the route.
I think that's the best we an do for now on the Garmin units.
