I recently purchased a DriveSmart 66 and downloaded my POIs with sound and icons but they are not showing up or announcing on the GPS. The POIs worked on my old GPS, a Nuvi 3597. Is there anything more I need to do to make this work. Thank you.

Did you use POILoader or just copy them to the new unit?
You need to use PoiLoader to get them into protected memory.
