Here corrections to maps

I've made several updates to Here maps at https://mapcreator.here.com/
So far the last update made on 24-02-02 hasn't shown up on the last 2 Garmin updates. Does anyone else have experience with this?

Same thing happened to me

I made an update to a road (I actually added a missing alley in my neighborhood) on October 6, and it was accepted a day or two after. The 2025.20 map was released on October 9, 2024, so I didn’t expect the road change to be introduced in just 3 days, so I was expecting that 5 months later it would be introduced into the map. Long story short, it wasn’t. But the weirdest part was that a POI that I made a change to on October 16, 2024 WAS introduced into the 2026.10 map. Super confusing!

Regarding the recent issue

Regarding the recent issue with Catamount Drive: a Garmin claimed ‘paved road’ that was really a mud path through a cornfield and cattle pasture…….
I went to Garmin site and sent an email to every Garmin department and all board representatives that had a link on the website!!!!
It included description, map links: showing cattle on the mud road, and a fenced it corral blocking access to next road, and approximate dates that it was submitted before, a complete description explaining that it could have been avoided if it was added as an gravel road, it cannot be avoided if it is considered paved, which it isn’t, my email and phone number if they wanted to contact me for further information!

It was fixed in the next map release!

Sometimes

The changes get into the new map set and other times they don’t. Go figure! I don’t know why some make it and others don’t. Waze is fairly consistent. You make the change and it gets posted.

If I Remember correctly

If I Remember correctly, there's a page at Here Maps that shows how they update maps. They do sections at a time, which includes several states. This explains why some updates are done quickly and others aren't.

Also, I think that imbedded POIs are kept separately, as they use L/L to place them.

be thankful its not Tomtom

I had a tomtom rider 550 and I'd regularly update corrections to my local areas. At least 50% would be denied but then I'd see the changes reflected later or they'd say approved and a few weeks later it would revert back to the previous wrong info.

When I moved to where I live now a few years ago I noticed the street signs on my road had AVE when all my official documents have STREET. I asked the township and they were aware and I am on a STREET not an AVE.

They eventually got around to covering up the AVE with an ST sticker. This township had/has quite a few errors, Rogers Ave being spelled without an S on some signs and with a D on others (Rodgers) but I was just concerned with my road.

I keep reporting the error to Google Maps, Here and Bing. They all kept denying it UNTIL Google maps street view came around and recorded the signs with the new sticker on it and I pointed that out, it still took a few more times of trying but they all have it correct now.

The latest Garmin map update does not have the updated designation, I'm waiting to see how long that takes.

. 2 Garmin DriveSmart 61 LMT-S, Nuvi 2689, 2 Nuvi 2460, Uniden R3 radar detector with GPS built in, includes RLC info. Uconnect 430N Garmin based, built into my Jeep. .

I wouldn’t hold my breath for too long

They don’t seem to get in a hurry when it comes to matters such as these. We have a golf course up the road a few miles from where I live. This golf course has been closed for over ten years. Google and Apple Maps have had it removed from their maps for quite a few years. Not so with Here and Bing. It is still showing on their maps as being open. But, if you were to use their maps to get there, you would find a closed gate and weeds and trees growing where the greens used to be.

Here corrections to maps

The Francis Scott Key Bridge has been down exactly one year. Itr carried a LOT of traffic which now has to find alternate routes.

The latest maps still show the Key Bridge there and tries to route you to go over it.

Sadly, once you are committed to go that route, it's very difficult to escape and go another way. Especially if you're relying on your GPS to take you another way.

Francis Scott Key Bridge

pratzert,

I just checked the map on my Garmin GPS (North America NT 2026.10), and the Here maps online and on my cell phone (version 164.164.84.84). The Here maps both show that the bridge is not there.

I set a route heading north from DC on the GPS to a place where I would have crossed over the bridge (2 years ago). The GPS planned a route avoiding that section of I-695 going through one of the tunnels and then backtracking to the southeast. I also noticed that when I previewed the route, that section of I-695 showed on the map (at very low magnification) - until I started to zoom in. Then the map showed I-695 stopping before reaching the river on both sides.

Have you tried a simulated route to see of your GPS still tries to route you across the Key Bridge?
