Went to a fancy restaurant with a vendor and both myself and the gentleman across from me got rib eyes that were overcooked. How does this happen in a fancy place? It's never happened at the TX Roadhouse where the steak costs 1/4. We ordered med rare and it was more like med well. I'm not one to send things back as it's like Road Trip 2000 and the powdered sugar. But maybe if I were with my family I'd complain (I wouldn't want the entire entree but I wouldn't send it back to have it altered)

to DMV to get a new license.

Waited 2 hours to get a ticket.

Once I got a ticket I was called instantly, and it took all of 4 minutes (lightbulb: For those needing to do what I did, maybe there could be a separate line--better yet, a different building or location?).

Oddly, a hole was punched in my current license, I was handed back the "camera card" I came in with, and that was it. I asked the guy about my new license? He said it will be mailed.

I'd really have to question, but again this is PA, how a paper license is acceptable in 2025? I do remember that in NYS in 1984, and in VT, as late as 1991. I guess when it comes to the govt. so so many things make no sense at all. The paper receipt even says to be sure to destroy your old documents they are no longer valid? Huh? Here's where Tennyson kicks in. "Mine is not to reason why."

How often in life, is it like this. You have valid creds. After you perform a transaction, you no longer do. I know my license is renewed, but until it comes in the mail, nobody else does and nothing proves it hahahahahaha The process makes zero sense. But again, this is PA. When you buy a new car, the dealer takes a new plate out of the drawer, and nobody knows about it (for real). I was told that's ok for 30 days. Even an insurance agent in PA told me you don't have to tell us for up to 30 days. So you can add a car, and pay the same for 30 days? Yes.

If you live in Los Angeles and want to pop up to Reno for a bit of action on the gaming tables, you'll have to head west.
