Garmin Model/Firmware map display features?

Can anyone point me to a list of map display features for the newer Garmins?
Specifically I'm looking for ones that have the ability to show custom pois while on the live map display, and any flexibility for choosing sets of pois to display.

The Rand McNally in my RV does this with some helpful pois like Campgrounds & WalMarts but it's maps are way out of date and updates are no longer supported. I'd love to replace the in-dash unit (2018 MB Sprinter) with a good nav system, but I'd also do just a stand alone gps.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

I Believe that most Garmins will do this

If you load a POI c/w with the associated Icon, the Icon will show on your your display. If you set a proximity alert for that particular POI, it will also give you an audio alert.

I caution against getting carried away with too many proximity alerts. If you do, you will constantly be getting barraged with annoying warnings. I limit my prox alerts to Red Light Cameras and Rest Areas.

Just display

Thanks @GPSGeek. I don't necessarily want a proximity alert, rather just an icon display. My RV 660 died mid months long trip & I picked up a Drive 53 EX just to continue my trip log, but my custom campground pois don't display. Maybe I compiled them wrong, or I need to try different map zoom levels?
We rarely plan overnight stops, usually pick closest to where we are & it's nice when we can see them on a map.

Check your Icon Size

Are you using 24 x 24 Icon Size? If your Drive 53 can accept 48 x 48 you might need a larger icon.

Be sure the Icon name is identical to the POI name.
