390LM deleted UNL and GMA files - need 4 files

I hope there is some help available.

I deleted what I thought were duplicate files and now my Garmin 390LM is not allowing me to import GPX routes.

These files are within the MAP directory on the 390LM.

I need:

D9644010A.UNL
D9644010A.GMA
D9644040A.UNL
D9644040A.GMA

I mistakenly thought I had copied them prior to delete so I could replace them if there was a problem.

Garmin Express Update doesn't fix the problem.

They are very small miles like 4kb. email or attach to a response would be most helpful!!

Garmin Customer Support told me the device is no longer supported.

Any help is appreciated.

Well ..

Those files are specific to your device and maps so there is little point in anyone sending them to you. You just need to reinstall the map.

UNL and GMA files

The .UNL and .GMA files are tied to the specific serial number of your device and are used to unlock and authenticate maps. Getting copies from another device will not work. I would think if you used Garmin Express to reinstall the current maps, it should resolve this issue.

EDIT: Ha Ha! Sussamb beat me to the answer, but at least our answers were consistent!

Adding to my reply ...

You say Express won't reinstall the map, where is it failing? Do you see a reinstall option?

What you should be able to do is remove the .img files associated with those unlock files, Express should then reinstall the map.

UNL and GMA files

I assume your "Garmin 390LM" is a zumo 390? If so, it is not included in the list of devices that have map updates discontinued (https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=FbLi6qISMH8vJG5A1p9tW5...). It seems like reinstalling the maps should work on this device.

EDIT: In order to prevent possible further damage to your device, you might want to try the cloning method for the map reinstall (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/39231). If you are successful with that, you will have the .UNL and .GMA files to copy back into your device.

Thank you all who responded. I copied and removed the img file and updated the map in Garmin Express. Unit appears to be working normally.
