Import trip

A couple of years ago I created a trip/route on MapSource and sent it to my DS-50. I just did a new one but can't find where to import it on the device (senior's moment?).

Any info out there?

Regards,

DougJ

This might be of help

See https://optimoroute.com/support-export-routes-to-garmin-tomt..., specifically the section titled "Uploading .gpx files to Garmin devices".

You shouldn't need to

You shouldn't need to "import" it. After booting up, trip planner should import automatically.

However, if you delete the route, I haven't found a way to reimport it without renaming the filename to something else.

To transfer data from BaseCamp

To transfer data from BaseCamp for Windows to a device:
Connect the device to your computer
Select an option:
To send one or more items or a list to the device:
Click on an item, a list, or multiple items (using CTRL+Click or Shift+Click)
Click the Device drop-down menu
Hover over Send To Device
Click on Send ['Name'] to Device orSend Selection to Device
To send all saved data to the device:
Click on the My Collection folder
Click the Device drop-down menu
Hover over Send To Device
Click Send 'My Collection' to Device
Select the device to which you want to send the selected data
Click OK

Please let us know when you get the problem fixed.
