from a spur of the moment 1200 mile round trip drive up to northern California. How spur of the moment was it? Well, I actually left my house with a 200 mile round trip one day getaway in mind. However when I got to where I was originally planning to go (to Solvang, north of Santa Barbara) I literally just said what the heck, I feel like going up to San Francisco and a little beyond, so I did. The whole adventure was a lot of fun.

Speaking of windmills and other things.....
I've been watching the local scrap places for one of these and found one this weekend. It's a specific motor on a front load washing machine that can be rewired and used as a windmill/water powered, power generator. I've put a couple links to information if anyone is interested in that sort of thing. They say it can run up to 500 or 600 wats with no problem.
Looking forward to traveling again sometime.
