Traveling

Day 21. Camping mostly but sometimes staying at Holiday Inn Express. This is a hotel night. Actually, we booked 2 nights here as we are in Fort Collins, Colorado and there are something like 23 breweries here. Tried one earlier today for a late breakfast of Sliders and Beer. Excellent. Will try another this evening for dinner.

going nowhere

Because of a cold, rainy Memorial Day weekend we are going nowhere.

Friday we went to the practice for the Bethpage Jones Beach Air Show, which is just as good as the Air Show on Saturday and Sunday, which were rained out. We were really lucky.

The Air Show was mint! My favorite is the USAF A-10 Thunderbolt. This plane can make tighter turns and do aerobatics better than small planes built for that.

They are having the Air Show on Monday, which was not originally scheduled, and all ticketholders are invited.

Rolling Thunder

Still traveling...

Tomorrow marks one month on the road. Mostly camping. Colorado has been COLD. Wild winds, freezing rain, snow... We're tired of being cold so made our way to Grand Junction and got a room at Holiday Inn Express. Tomorrow we'll do a bit of shopping, get gas, and then zoom clear across Utah to Great Basin National Park. Probably camp there two nights and then head toward home. Likely home in a week or so from today. The old nüvi 760 (with the latest maps of course) has been great.
