Birds eye junction view

When I first purchased my DriveSmart 50 LMT, I was seeing Birds eye junction view at several junctions/overpasses around the Ottawa (CA) area, then stopped seeing them for a few months. I noticed this past week, I've started seeing them again.

Odd.

That does seem like odd behavior. I think the birds eye views are not included in the JCV file but are part of the map data. I suppose the birds eye view on a given intersection will display or not based on the route or destination you have set. If you are navigating in map display mode only (no destination set) I would guess it will not show.
