Nowadays, this only works if you still are using incandescent bulbs. LED's don't get hot enough.

Just teasing...I know you didn't peek!

Previously posted answer (Page 1): Ben was buying home address numbers and they cost $1 per digit.

And the answer is ...

soberbyker wrote:

You’re standing in a hallway with three light switches on the wall, each of which turns on a different lamp inside a closed room.

You can’t see inside the room, and you can’t open the door except to enter the room.

You can enter the room only once, and when you do, all the lamps must be turned off.

How can you tell which switch turns on which lamp?

ddeerrff wrote:

Interesting, didn't think of the incandescent vs LED senerio ...

Anyway, assuming the bulbs are incandescent ...

Turn on the right switch and leave it on for two minutes. After two minutes, turn on the middle switch and leave it on for one minute. When that minute is up, turn off both switches and enter the room. One light bulb will be hot (1st switch) and one will be warm (2nd switch). The cold bulb will correspond to the switch you didn’t turn on.

How?

Two boxers are in a match scheduled for 12 rounds. (Pure boxing only - no kicking, UFC takedowns, or anything else). One of the boxers gets knocked out after only six rounds, yet no man throws a punch. How is this possible?

(11-7)+11.

Start both hourglasses. When the 7 minute hourglass runs out, Start cooking the egg (there are 4 minutes left on the 11 minute hourglass). When the 11 minute hourglass runs out, restart it and the egg will be done when it runs out the second time. (You could have mentioned that it takes 7 minutes to bring the water to a boil, but that would have probably given it away wink ).

soberbyker wrote:

Explanation: To boil the egg in exactly 15 minutes, follow these steps.

1. Start both hourglasses as you start boiling the egg.
2. After the 7-minute hourglass runs out, turn it to start it again.
3. Four minutes later, when the 11-minute hourglass runs out, turn the
7-minute hourglass again.
4. Wait for the 7-minute hourglass to run out, which will take another
four minutes and get you to exactly 15 minutes of boiling time.

Are You A Smart Adult?

Well, 90% of adults get these questions wrong, yet kids do just fine. Why? That's because grownups overcomplicate things while children use their common sense and don't overthink...hahaha. Can you answer these 5 simple questions?

1. Frank's father has 5 sons. If the names of his 4 sons are Fefe, Fifi, Fofo, Fufu, respectively, then what would be the name of his 5th son?

2. One day, a man was caught in the pouring rain. Unfortunately, he had no umbrella or hat or anything else he could use to stay dry. Yet, not a single hair on his head got wet. How so?

3. How can it be that every single person in a plane crash died, but two people survived?

4. What do you sleep on, sit on, and brush your teeth with?

5. In some months there are 31 days, in others there are 30. But how many months have 28 days?

I can answer only #4
