Large JCV file for 2019.11, please

May we use this post to track the availability of the large .JCV file for the 2019.whatever file?

CNNANT201911 (Maps & JCVs) = CNNANT201910B

No difference as far as maps and JCV files.

Same file

So you are saying that the 2019.11 map uses the same large JCV file as the updated 2019.10 map?

Use the Same JCV File as CNNANT2019.10B

The CNNANT 2019.11 map version is the SAME as the 2019.10B map version, so all JCV files--including the large JCV file--from 2019.10B remain the SAME and work with 2019.11. If still in doubt, just use and test with the 2019.10B JCV file... smile it works with the simply relabelled '2019.11' map version. BTW, no need to install 2019.11 onto the computer if 2019.10B is already installed, as Garmin Express will just reuse and declare the 2019.10B installation as 2019.11, FYI.

What Is the large .JCV file name

For 2019.11, is the name of the large .JCV file D3060260A?

No

It is D3060260B. The "A" version was from the original January map release of 2019.10. D3060260B is from the March correction release of 2010.10 and also this latest April release of 2019.11. Go figure what Garmin is doing. I am not sure they know.

Yes. From the other thread:

PS: Generally, a link posted to the forums is clickable but on occasion, longer links are not clickable. Some longer links are clickable. Can anyone explain this? Thanks.

That Didn't Work

Try this?

I think it's the # sign in the link.

Link to the Thread Instead...

I know you guys meant to be 'helpful' but it would've been more appropriate if the relevant original thread is linked instead... just a bit of netiquette. It would also be more helpful if the reader understood the context and historical background of the discussion, along with all the original posted info (e.g., ZIP password), FYI. smile

Yes, but...

Given that plunder is the OP in both threads and asked here if it's been made available yet, it may be that for plunder, the answer was buried in the older thread which was missed.

I'm sorry that I was just 'helpful' and will try more in the future to be helpful. redface

Change post to Filtered HTML with Hyperlinks

@CraigW for future reference: When the link doesn't work, edit the post and change the input format on you post to Filtered HTML with Hyperlinks, then use the "a" HTML tag for your link such as:

<a href=https://mega.nz/#!tAxwlKbB!7eQFNoOg8wLm3nIU_IMUNT3z-CmDHPv0jWqj6qIfpcY> https://mega.nz/#!tAxwlKbB!7eQFNoOg8wLm3nIU_IMUNT3z-CmDHPv0jWqj6qIfpcY </a>

Note that the text portion can be anything. In my example I just repeated the link itself.

Here is how the above example comes out: https://mega.nz/#!tAxwlKbB!7eQFNoOg8wLm3nIU_IMUNT3z-CmDHPv0jWqj6qIfpcY

Also, when it is more appropriate to link back to the original thread, it is possible to link to a specific post within the thread. http://www.poi-factory.com/node/44758

Yes, that works and I've occasionally gone to the effort of making a link out of text in my FAQs and rarely in my posts, but I find it a real effort, especially since I have to look up how to do it each time and when including a long link in a reply, I never know which way it'll display. The link-break text display, at least for me, only occurs <5% of the time so I am always shocked when I see it. There was a time a couple years ago when JM tinkered some to with the site's editing mode that may have involved this but I sorta remember it causing other issues and maybe was removed.

It still leaves the question as to why the standard post or reply with a long link sometimes is a link and other times is a line-break text string. wink

I thought so :)

I figured you knew how to do it Craig smile but thought it might be helpful to reply and include the instructions for anyone who is reading this thread and might not know the little trick.

Ha, I knew you knew! twisted

As an example of how a message can become elegant through the use of this method, check out a FAQ that uses it quite a bit:
