text2speech.us?

This tutorial mentions using http://text2speech.us to create text to WAV files, but I can't get it to actually do anything. I've tried different browsers. Does it work for everyone else?

Voice files

try this link. http://www.text2speech.org/?text=test+one+two+three&voice=sl...

1. Type in the text.
2. Click start.
3. Click your choice speech.mp3 or speech.wav.
4. Save file to computer.

I prefer Balabolka at http://www.cross-plus-a.com/balabolka.htm

see http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25730 for installing voice alerts.

Thanks. text2speech.org is a different website than text2speech.us. Do they use the same engine? Just briefly tried text2speech.org but it's kind of crappy for such a simple tool in 2017. smile. It's going to take quite a bit of work to get it to pronounce some words well enough. Also it doesn't seem to understand punctuation. Even the text to speech (SAM) on my Commodore 64 in the 80's used periods. Also need to be able to set delay between words, etc.

Example, to say wal mart correctly, you have to spell it waul maurt. But then if you put another word in front of it (ie. approaching), it changes how it says wal mart, and jumbles the two words together making it nearly unrecognizable.

AT&T used to have an online

AT&T used to have an online text to speech tool but that is long gone.

I also use Balbooka, though you don't have as many options with voices.

Yeah....
