I'm STILL KICKING MYSELF BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS. It was fun but not a necessity. I miss it already. Stick with what little I knoe or try a new adventure?
Well ...
... any of the new 2xx8/9 models are best bang for the buck IMO. If traffic is important to you grab one that has digital traffic, certainly where I live it is very up to date and accurate.

Refurb?
Are the 3597 refurbs still around?
3597 LMT
They're around but traffics not important and that's more than I can spend.I'm out in the boondocks and seldom go to the city. I believe I got the 2595LMT for less than $100. You have good taste, though. The 2595 was refurbished, too. It was starting to fail, though.
Thanks.
Would like a 7" screen.
Darn you,sussamb,it sure looks nice.

How about 2598
I got one at Costco and really like that as well as my refurbished 3597.

I saw one the other day at Walmart...
...for about $110.00 bucks. But, I can't for the life of me, remember the model number. (Shouldn't be hard to find out though.)

Smartphone
That would mean getting a Smartphone (I'm guessing)I'm one of those people that can hardly use a cell phone and couldn't anyway because I have a GOV. phone. (only allowed one phone. always a hitch, but thanks for the advice, I like the idea.

Cops are OK
My stolen 2595 was recovered bt the local police. The cable was missing but I have the unit back. Dam cable was $43 and a month to get from China.Didn't think of ordering directly from Garmin.
