Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – March 2015

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

We went to the new car show in Atlanta. Driving the cars in the "Drive Me Now" portion of the show makes me want to get one. I seem to like all brands and styles.

You may have lost your windmill, but you're still a General Maintainer:

Mgarledge, I love living

Mgarledge,

I love living here. I can't believe the Navy pays us to live in paradise. I never want to leave this place.

Did not try Gates this time

Did not try Gates this time since have been there previously but did not know about Rosedale... Will have to check it out next trip.

Went to Brobeck and Woodyard this trip. Both were excellent, esp. the burnt ends and ribs at Brobeck and the ribs at Woodyard. Sauce was better at Brobeck.

Windmill

Can't afford a trip for awhile. Booo sad

My last trip was from Port

My last trip was from Port St Joe up to Birmingham, and over to Warrensburg Mo. I love driving through the mountains and on the way back Garmin took me on a different route through a section of Birmingham that hasn't been cleaned up since the 2011 tornado. Talk about creepy.

Took a little

Oh no....

the wife is using the 2555LMT to find shops. She is still dress shopping for son's wedding in July!

At least she'll save gas $$ since she won't be driving around lost. That's about all we'll save smile

Dinner

Dinner with the wife for her birthday. New restaurant that we had never been before. I would have never found it without my gps.

NY to TN

Last big trip was about a month ago from Rochester NY area to Tri-City area of TN. It was probably the last big trip for our 2460. It was showing its age. It has now been replaced with a 2689. I have taken some short trips getting use to the new interface and getting ready for a repeat trip to TN. It will be interesting to see the difference. Also bought a new vent mount for the 2689 to get it up in front of me more. So far I really like the the new GPS. The 2460 was demoted to the everyday car.

.

Good Luck to Wisconsin Saturday!!
