GXM30 Sirius/XM Receiver-Antenna

Okay, who uses it? I bought one and am confident that it works, but I am not SURE.
According to the instruction manual when I attach it to my Zumo 550 see an "XM" selection that I touch to subscribe. I will then be presented with a display stating my unit XM ID Number and info about how to subscribe.
When I have my GXM 30 connected I do not see any indication of anything "XM".
Further info.... I am loaded with the current map update 2015.30. I connected the Zumo to external power and it started up as normal ("unlock maps" message...)
Any thoughts?

Why am I not receiving XM services on my zumo series device?
If XM services are not displaying on a zumo, ensure that the zumo is being used with the proper GXM accessory (XM antenna). Additional troubleshooting steps may be taken.
Software update

Look for any additional updates that mention "XM" or "GXM"
XM antenna placement and mounting
Requires a clear view of the sky
Ensure the antenna is not bundled or looped around its self
Must be at least 10cm away from the device (ideally 30cm apart)
Ensure proper mounting in general

Active subscription
An active subscription is not included with the antenna but is required: How do I activate my XM subscription?
If you continue to have difficulty receiving your XM services after these steps have been taken, please contact Product Support.
