Nuvi 2595

Hello.
I'm interested in a nuvi 2595. Does anybody know if it comes with a power cradle?
Thank you and Happy New Year.

No go

The owners manual shows that the 2595 has a non-powered cradle so the power cable will be to be connected/disconnected directly to the nuvi each time you install/remove it from your vehicle.

Too bad.

Thank you.

Power Cradles

The 25xx series does NOT have power cradles. My friend has a 2595 and it only has a regular cradle.

If you're looking to purchase a new Nuvi GPS and a power cradle is important, check the link below for Nuvi's with power cradles. I'm not certain that the list is complete but should give you some direction.

The scary part of Garmin vehicle mounts is that the entire 2014 line "features" non-powered mounts with the exception of the 3597 which is actually a carry-over from the 2013 line. My fear is that new devices in the future will not have powered mounts, and if true, it's time to buy a backup GPS with a powered mount now if it's a Must-Have for you.

No More Powered Mounts?

I really hope that is not the case that all future Nuvi's will NOT have the power mount. It's a feature I always want when purchasing a Nuvi.

Since Garmin makes a habit of not indicating the type of mount the Nuvi comes with, the only way I'm aware of to check is to enter the model #, then click on accessories, then on mounts. Why they fail to indicate the mount type in specs is frustrating.

It's not like the failure to list internal memory sizes because they vary among continents for the same model number. That is understandable, however, no excuse regarding the mounts.
