In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Drove up to NJ for 20th reunion. Experienced several "glitches" with StreetPilot maps in New Jersey, which I need to investigate (e.g., roads not showing up, pink navigation line not lining up with road, etc.)

School Zones
Took my 2595 all over rural MA the other day and through many school zones and can report no warnings on this unit after the last map update.

AACA Fall Meet at Hershey, PA
Even though I have been going to this large old car flea market for over 40 years I still like having my Garmin along to keep track of my arrival time. Blew my alternator on the way home and was watching the GPS to see how much further the battery had to last. We made it.
Bus Travel
Using the Garmin this week to get around San Francisco via bus instead of a car. Not being familiar with the area, it lets me know when to get off the bus.

Just the usual..
Work
Traveling almost every day 2-3 hours to new locations to repair and adjust elevators. Many are new buildings with new addresses and the nuvi 1450 has been doing a fantastic job getting me everywhere.

Went through pennsylvania/maryland on I70 and noticed there were alerts for speed cameras in the middle of nowhere, then a couple miles up the road there was a work zone. I suppose the alert was for the old location of the work zone???

Plane from DFW to Philidelphia
Then rented a car and drove in the worst traffic I have ever seen on small streets to Harrisburg.
We went to the Hershey Swap Meet. If you love cars or love to shop for car parts this is the place. We walked miles.
The car corral was very long and we were very impressed with all the great cars there... Then on Saturday in came so many more cars for the Car Showing. This was a surprise as we thought all the cars were already there. A lot of cars...
After the 4 days at the swap meet (and three trips to Hershey Chocolate World) (we also toured the AACA Museum and Hershey Story) we then drove to Gettysburg and took a bus tour there. It was great.
From there we went to Lancaster and spent two days seeing Amish country. It was great.
Then we drove back to Philadelphia and took the plane back to DFW.
We used Jill Map for the trip (Nuvi 2450) she worked flawless and took us everywhere we needed to go. No paper map, just my Nexus 7 with Garmin Viago as a back up. I kept the Viago open and on the same route so I could scroll ahead to see what was ahead of us and to see if I needed to change any of the ways Jill Map took us. The only thing I changed was to route us on back streets from Harrisburg to Hershey each day as there was no traffic going the back streets.
Great trip and great Jill Map.
Just hoping I don't see on the news that someone with the virus was on our plane out of and into DFW.

Around town
Now a days gps is a nice tool to navigate where you go . Many places have some alterations on the roads and sometimes a bit confusing. Sometimes you have to run across a few lanes to be able to go on your way to the next exit.
