I've been to someone's place and would have been lost at night without my trusty Garmin. It's like a maze there!

Cut through the metro area and stay overnight at the other side of the next metro area to see my daughter's theatre performance last weekend.

Well worth the effort. She did well.

With our great-grandson and than took him to Dollar Tree to pick a toy that we had promise that we would do.

My wife & I were in Chicago last week. We were supposed to fly back to NY on Friday. I guess you can figure out what happened with the fire in the FAA facility. (No flights out of the whole area) I asked Enterprise car rental if they had a problem with me dropping the car off in NY instead of the place I rented it. (No problem except a big drop off charge)
Thank God I had my GPS with me. Would have taken me a lot longer to get back home. My cell phone has GPS but you lose a signal going through the mountains in PA.

Took a 2 day trip with my brother and visited all the Tour of Honor memorials in Arkansas recently. Route planned in BaseCamp worked wonderfully. Over 1400 miles round trip. Where to next?

Found the apple festival in Meaford.

Also tired of buying Map updates. Got a Nuvi 50LM now.

Used the Zumo 590 in the car for a leaf peeping trip from Pittsburgh to Shenandoah Nat'l Park Skyline Drive. just a 2-day quick trip. Really like the search ahead feature to find fuel, food and rest stops along the route.

Had some strange navigation when set to fastest time and avoid highways, the Zumo wanted to go 2-hours out of the way instead of just follow U.S. 30.

Have a 1450 that won't boot after update. Good way to ensure we keep buying new ones. Repair costs as much as new one, even though reloading software (which I dont have) will likely solve problem. Crap!

Why they had to close three different spots for construction within five miles at the same time, I'll never know.

a survey to find which routes would cause the most problem for the greatest number of people and work down from there. Of course it could be something as they are heavily traveled and therefore need more maintenance than other routes, but that doesn't sound as good.
