Unlocking 2014.40 for Roadtrip

I just installed City Navigator North America 2014.40 on my Garmin nevi 2350LMT using Garmin Express v3.0.7.0. So while the unit was still hooked up to my Mac I decided to do some preliminary work on a drive to Gatlinburg, TN using Garmin Roadtrip. When the app launched I got the usual dialog reporting that the new map was locked and recommending that I unlock it online. I tried to do so several times but always got this dialog:
Plugin status
Plugin error: source: WEB_DEVICEMANAGER.CPP, line: 2489
Has anyone out there gotten by this roadblock?
I'm running OS X 10.9.2 on a MacPro.

Problem solved.
Garmin Express let me down. I discovered this by accident when I connected my wife's Garmin eTrex Vista HCx land navigator to my Mac to check for new software. Garmin Express reported that both my installed Communicator Plugin for Mac and Mac Map Update application were out of date. (When my Garmin 2350LMT was connected Garmin Express reports that all my software is up to date.)
I updated that software and then reinstalled City Navigator North America 2014.40. When I launched Garmin Roadtrip I had no problem unlocking the new map set.
