Garmin Bluetooth speaker for music/podcasts?

I'm planning on replacing my Nuvi 765 due to random rebooting and a number of other problems. The one feature that I will miss is the MP3 player.

I'm aware that Garmin no longer offers an MP3 player. Will the current Nuvi models such as the 2497LMT with Bluetooth sync with an iPhone and play music/podcasts through the Nuvi speaker?

I emailed Garmin about 2 weeks ago asking the same, as a firmware update or in a new product. Haven't got a reply. :!:

I'm going to assume it

I'm going to assume it doesn't play the phone audio in regards to podcasts/audiobooks. One car has a direct audio plug I can link my phone directly to the radio, but my other car is older and doesn't. I'll have to look for something like the Jabra FREEWAY Bluetooth Speakerphone.

It was so much easier when I would just turn the GPS on and the audio would continue from where it left off.

Just as a follow-up..

I have the 2497LMT now and it doesn't appear to have the podcast/audiobook playing ability over Bluetooth from my iPhone. I'm using the Jabra Freeway to stream the audio which works great. Syncs as soon as I get into the car and I can start the streaming with a verbal command.

I also like the voice command features of the 2497LMT...definitely hands free now!
