Ecoroute HD's Android app doesnt give check engine code?!

I have the ecoroute hd that plugs into the cars odb II port. and i also d/l the free garmin app for it.

well, i got a check engine light. i looked at the app, and pressed the diagnostic code button, it says there is no code.

WTF?

went to autozone to borrow their odb II scanner to get the code. (it was an engine misfire.)

stupid app...

Mine worked

As I was leaving Phoenix AZ and climbing out of the valley my Prius came to a halt.
I had the OBD Plugin with my Garmin and it told me transmission problems or other.
I chose not to fix the car and have used the OBD plug ever since.

What about our loses?

Stop using your phone

Since I do not have a cell phone I have not had any problems getting codes from the OBD plug. One should use the Garmin to check what is wrong instead of other technology to see what is wrong.

Get off your high horse
