TTS Voice Editor Question

I've used Turboccc's TTS Voice Editor in the past and know how it works. My Nuvi 2460's volume is much louder than my backup Nuvi 660. The 660 sometimes is difficult for me to hear.
My question is can I edit the volume on my chosen voice(American English Jill) so that she speaks louder but still remains clear?
I see all her spoken words are as follows:
Rate =11
Volume= 65
I intend to leave the rate alone but was thinking to increase the volume to 75, I think 99 (highest) may be too much which may cause distortion.
Like to hear your comments and experience of a good volume level to increase the default of 65.

Set to 90 Using Voice Editor?
Please confirm that commands set to 90 using TTS VoiceEditor and not merely by increasing the volume level on the Nuvi. My volume level on the Nuvi is already at 100 and still too low.

I'm really pleased how simple it was to change the volume level. I thought I would have to go to each phrase and change the level. Not so, change it on the main screen and it will apply to all.
I first changed the 62 volume level to 90.
Only did a short simultaed test and it appeared louder. I then increased it to 99 (max) and really could not differentiate between the 90 to 99.
The real test will be when I take it on the highway and have varying noise conditions.
