I tried to install using the usb cable, too much work. I removed the chip and installed it in my PC. Transfered the photos no problem. If I can help more please ask, prjones520@gmail.com...
Wasn't that more trouble
Using the USB cable you just have to drag the photos over to the drive. No problem. Isn't removing the chip a lot of trouble?

He probably removed his SD from the SD slot.

Agreed
Agreed, but on some devices getting the SD card in and out is as much trouble as finding your USB cable.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.
USB 1.0
Ah, but then you have to deal with Garmin's s-l-o-w USB 1.0 implementation. Far faster with a modern card reader!
Agreed
Garmin transfer rates are slow. You can do it much faster on the computer itself. This is especially true for some of the older Garmin units.

Transfer tip
Thanks for the tip. I am never sure which file to put it in. The files do not seem to correspond to the content.

I too use a card reader in my PC when copying files to the SD card, I find it faster.

A little friendly advice and no criticism intended.

SDHC Card Reader 1.99 Via Ebay
He probably removed his SD from the SD slot.
I myself prefer the SDHC card vs. the USB for the transfer of files.
I purchased an SDHC card reader for 1.99 + free shipping via Ebay:
"USB 2.0 MMC SD SDHC Memory Card Reader/Writer Windows Vista/XP/2000 Mac OS 9.2"

I have an older Nuvi 760. I see no reason why I would want to view pictures on my Nuvi with mediocre display and short battery life. Do newer models have better display and battery life?
