Wall charger for Nuvi

I have a Blackberry wall charger (5V .05amp) mini cable that fits the GPS. Can anybody tell if this can be used to charge a nuvi 750?

Sure

Sure - Any USB charger will work. At .5 Amp, it will probably take a little longer than the Garmin charger, but it will work.

FYI

The Garmin OEM charger is 5V 1.0 amps.
As johnc stated, it will work but may be a bit slower.

Thanks I'll give it a try.

All mini-USB sockets have

All mini-USB sockets have the same electrical characteristics. A cable attached to an AC adapter can be used to charge any mini-USB device.

Did you make a typo? I have never seen a charger that is only .05amp

Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

obvious

It's rather obvious in this case that he meant 0.5A or 500mA. Is there a point for pointless questions?

Looking too quickly

@Don B, I wondered about the "decimal" when I first saw that myself. Fortunately, I had a charger that I had just replaced(wire broken right at strain relief making it intermittent) so a quick look oriented me to amps versus milliamps.

I think it is always better for the forum to post questions - we all have a better understanding when we look at the answers and/or comments.

I don't remember

I don't remember rattling your chain. I was asking the OP. People do make mistakes, such as making sarcastic posts.
