POI loading

I'm sure someone can point out a tutorial on it, but basically create a directory on your computer and in it, put the poi, picture, and sound file. They should all be named exactly the same except the extension. For the sound, if it's a MP3, make sure you GPS supports mp3. If it's a WAV file, make sure you have Sox in your POI program directory.

Yes, load the poi file, audio and icon at the same time. If you're asking about your nuvi 650, it can use mp3 audio. If you have a newer nuvi, it'll need wav audio and sox.exe.

Make sure you are using the correct software such as POI Loader

Firt update your POI loader and put your files together in a folder. Connect your gps and open your poi loader and follow the instructions.

Don't forget, you need to do a manual load for distance if you want the alert tones to work. I always forget and do an automatic distances and wonder why the tones don't work. Then someone from here always has to remind me later.

Can someone please help me .I download the new Rest area,red light camera and safety camera ,then I run the POI loader but I notice that the gps it show me the new update and also the old one, they are still on my system. they is a way to delete all and start fresh?

Run poiloader again and select delete all pois. Then re-load the new ones.

If you read this post before following charlesd45's instructions, tell us exactly what showed up under "Custom POIs" that made you realize that you had both the old and new camera files.

I ask this because we are interested in getting real life information on the "order" under which POIs show up under "Extras > Custom POIs" as someone does several runs of POI Loader.

I just test poi on my new 1390 gps, it warn me when i approach read light traffic with the ding ding ding but now the voice warning as I loading with the fiel.
